Celebrate Bowditch's birthday with this one of a kind FOM_9 Design. This shirt pays homage to both Bathymetric navigation and important dates in navigation as soundings. Nathaniel Bowditch, (born March 26, 1773, Salem, Massachusetts, U.S.—died March 16, 1838, Boston, Massachusetts). In 1802, Nathaniel Bowditch, a mathematician and astronomer from Salem, Massachusetts, published “The New American Practical Navigator,” which corrected more than 8,000 errors in the tables of the most popular navigational text of the time. Bowditch billed his work as the “epitome of navigation.” In 1866, the Hydrographic Office of the United States Navy bought by the rights. Bathymetric charts (not to be confused with hydrographic charts), are typically produced to support safety of surface or sub-surface navigation, and usually show seafloor relief or terrain as contour lines (called depth contours or isobaths) and selected depths (soundings).
Made to feel like a well-loved favorite, these tees come with a feminine fit that is as stylish as it is comfy. The ribbed knitting makes the collar highly elastic while the twill tape on the shoulder seams stabilizes the back of the shirt and prevents stretching.
